Physical Description

Vellum, about 6 3/8 in. by 4 3/8, consisting of 40 leaves, some of which are much stained and torn, especially foll. 19, 20, 27—32, 36 and 37. The quires are signed with letters. Leaves are wanting at the beginning and end, as well as after foll. 8, 18, 19, 20, 26, 32, 33 and 39. There are from 23 to 27 lines in each page. This volume is written in a neat, regular hand of the ixth or xth cent.

Addition 1 (Fol. 5a): On the margin of fol. 5 a there is a note, stating that this book was presented to the convent of S. Mary Deipara by the patriarch Abraham, in the time of the abbat Salībā. Abraham(or Ephraim) was patriarch of Alexandria from A.D. 977 to 981. See Renaudot, Hist. Patriarch. Alexandr. Jacob., p. 366;Le Quien, Or.
