Physical Description

Nineteen vellum leaves, about 9 5/8 in. by 8, all more or less stained and mutilated (Add. 14,664, foll. 1—17, 20, 21). They are written in double columns, in the Palestinian character and dialect, and belong apparently to the xth or xith cent.

Hand 1 (sole, Christian Palestinian Aramaic script): The original text is written in the Palestinian character and dialect, and belong apparently to the 10 or 11th century.

Vellum leaves, about 9 5/8 in. by 8. These leaves are palimpsest (see Add. 14,664, foll, 1-17, 20, 21 ), with the exception of foll. 1, 2, 8, 20, and 21; Foll. 6, 10, and 15, are re-written on one side only.

Hand 1 (sole, Estrangela script): The more modern text is written in a large, coarse Estrangela of about the 13th century.

With the exception of fol. 33, they are palimpsest; but foll. 19 b and 31 a, as well as part of fol. 30 b, have not been re-written. For the more modern texts, see Add. 14,664 foll. 18-19, 30-32, upper text .

Hand 1 (sole, Christian Palestinian Aramaic script): The older text is written in the Palestinian character, in a large, regular hand, perhaps of the 10th century.
